Our How to tell dinner from a hole in the ground story continues with Pit #20 - a pig cooked in the backyard of our Hardscrabble house in Chappaqua. It had rained heavily the week before, and our first pit, dug in advance filled with water. Fortunately, we had good friends on hand to help dig a dry pit further uphill.
We've now become masters of the turducken, and knocked one of them out quickly for the Salmon Chanted Evening event as well. We had 60-70 people to feed afterall.
