Garlic Bread Recipe

(recipe by TheSalmons)

  • 2 baguettes (approximately 12 inches each)
  • 1 stick butter (unsalted preferred)
  • 4-6 garlic cloves

We prefer a type of french bread roll that we get at our local bakery that comes in the perfect size to fit on our cookie sheets. Cut the bread in half lengthwise to make 4 long pieces and place the bread on a foil lined cookie sheet. Use enough foil to be able to wrap the foil over and cover the bread for baking.

Melt butter on low heat.

Chop garlic into fine pieces and add to melted butter.

Slather the butter/garlic mixture on the cut bread surfaces. Cover all pieces evenly.

Cover the bread with foil and bake for 12 minutes at 350oF.

Remove the bread and switch the oven to broil. Allow a minute for the broiler to come up to full temperature. Uncover the bread and place under the broiler for 1 minute and 15 seconds. Time may vary slightly, watch it carefully and make sure it doesn't burn.

Remove, cut into slices and serve.
