Chocolate Chip Cookies

(recipe by TheSalmons)

  • 1 1/4 stick (5/8 cup) unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 12oz. package of semi-sweet chocolate chips

It will be easier to cream the butter if you take it out of the fridge and allow it to soften at room temperature ahead of time.

Preheat oven to 350oF.

Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. This process can be greatly helped by use of a food processor. Otherwise, just use a wooden spoon and put some muscle power into it.

Mix in salt, baking powder and baking soda.

Add eggs and vanilla to this mixture.

Gradually stir in the flour and mix well.

Lastly, add the chocolate chips and stir them evenly into the dough.

Spoon out lumps of cookie dough onto a seasoned (or lightly greased) cookie sheet. Bake for approximately 10 minutes. Don't over cook.

Warm cookies are yummy!
