First seen in Florida on February 25, 2011 while visiting Cape Kennedy on the day after we watched the final launch of Space Shuttle Discovery. We saw a female boat-tailed grackle the next day, but didn't id it at the time.
I've also seen these birds in Texas, at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in NJ, and closer to home, once in Croton Point Park.
